Well actually I recently began to re-read my Captain Britain collection, and thought it might be fun to share my thoughts on each issue. I then thought my pondering could be a fun reference guide for Cap fans in the style of one of my favourite funny reference books, the Dr Who Discontinuity Guide.
So welcome to the complete Captain Britain comic book guide, to help you enjoy the reviews I have included a guide to my reviewing format which follows. After that you will find a links section that you can use to go directly to any of the comics that have been reviewed.
You can join in from the comfort of your own easy chair by commenting on each issue as it’s reviewed. Agree, disagree or notice something I’ve missed or got wrong please let me know. Anyway lets look at each reviews structure.
The review format is as follows.
Introduction:- The title of the story, what comic it can be found in and the creators involved.
Cover picture:- The cover of the relevant issue.
You have been watching:- A list of all the major first appearances of regular Captain Britain cast members.
The story so far:- A summary of the story under review.
Continuity:- A look at whether the story fits Captain Britain continuity covering plot points, character traits etc.
Well said old chap:- My favourite dialogue from the story in question.
Stand out art:- My favourite panel/page from the story in question.
Final thoughts:- my overall opinion on the story in question.
